Assay.Works doubles size of small molecule screening library through BioAscent partnership
BioAscent and Assay.Works GmbH have recently signed a cooperation agreement that will double the size of the Assay.Works screening library. Using Compound Cloud, BioAscent’s ecommerce platform, Assay.Works was able to select a complementary set of compounds and can now offer its clients access to up to 150,000 quality compounds for their drug discovery screening projects.
As part of the cooperation, BioAscent will provide Assay.Works with two computationally designed lead-like compound collections (26k and 50k, respectively) that will complement their existing library of 74k small-molecules. All compounds were selected using common lead-likeness, structural diversity, and chemotype criteria.
Combining high-quality compound libraries with HTS approaches facilitates the identification of unique and tractable molecules as starting points for drug discovery programs. Increasing the number of quality compounds screened also increases the likelihood of finding suitable lead candidates.
